Rhema in Due Season (RiDs) Thursday 31st Jan 2013

Topic: Time to Recover

To everything under the earth, there is a time and a season. There's definitely a time to recover that which is lost and I'm glad to announce that 'this is that time for your recovery'

1 Sam 30: 4 - 8
Vs 4 - Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep. (This is category 5 type of weeping - what agony and broken heartedness can be this be compared to?). Are you weeping because you have lost something very special and feels that nobody understands.... David and his men certainly understood having gone through it all.

Vs 6: And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, everyman for his family but David encouraged himself in the Lord. Beloved, it is sometimes difficult to find a positive voice in the midst of negativity. Sorrow often turn to depression if its uncontrolled. A people that were loyal to death could contemplate an uprising against their leader - such is the consequences of uncontrolled sorrow.

Beloved, but David encouraged himself in the Lord. You have an anchor; sure and steadfast but the anchor will only hold when its let down. Someone has to initiate the release of the anchor. Don't allow the ship of sorrow to pull you out of fellowSHIP. Encourage yourself in the Lord. Let down your anchor because it will surely hold in Jesus.

In verses 7 - 8, David who could have been stoned to death by his army turned mob led their turnaround because he encouraged himself in the Lord. God is still in the business of helping men. He remains a very present help in the time of need (Psalm 46:1).
Let this ring loud in your sub consciousness; after every fall comes a season of recovering. And after famine is a season of surplus. I have good news you for you; an end has come to weeping - this is your time for a recovery.

The injunction of the Lord to David can be summed up as follows; Arise, Pursue, Overtake and Recover all.

Do you know that the Lord was already waiting with the solution? He only needed David to ask? David could have missed this moment of recover and joy if he had not encouraged himself in His God. Only God knows the quantum of recoverable situations that became permanently hopeless because men failed to see the silver lining. In the midst of anguish and distressed - David won't fight God or get angry at God; rather he sought comfort in God.

I'm fully persuaded that everytime man turn over the situation to God; He always shows up. When the children of Israel cried unto God in Egypt; he turned up. When they cried because of the Midianites (Judges 6), God sent an Angel to Gideon. The key to your recovery is to call upon God. Call upon me in the time of trouble.

Beloved, why are you sinking lower and deeper because of the weight and load of distress and depression - this is your time for recovery; this is your time for a lifting. Forget not that weeping has an expiry date and Joy comes at daybreak.

As you embrace your season of recovery positively, you will soon begin to see God show up on your behalf.

Shalom and Blessings!!!
