We thank the Almighty God for what He has already done in the first 3 days of this Congress. Today we will be looking at;
Topic: The Kind of Prayers that can cause you to fly.
Text: Genesis 32:25-28
There are all categories of prayers.
1.There is a prayer you can call usual prayers. There is a prayer you pray when you begin to thank Him for all He has done, a prayer of Thanksgiving blessing the name of the Lord, Psalm 103:1-5. There is a prayer you pray when you want to eat, there is a prayer you pray when you want to travel as a child of God. All these are casual prayers that we pray as believers.
2. There is a kind of prayer that controls the Heavens. That is a higher level of prayers, Joshua 10:10-12. The kind of prayer that I believe you should be praying when age is dropping on you and you have not fulfilled your purpose. You have not achieved your aim, the kind of prayer that you pray when you find yourself approaching a state when you can do anything anymore but you refuse to die.
3. There are prayers that even bring a gel down to do your bidding. Daniel 6:1-28. The kind of prayer Daniel prayed that shut the mouth of lions. Many of is life among lions, in our place of works, homes families, you pray such prayer to shut their mouth. It is a kind of prayer of the saints that brought the angels down to the prison, Acts 13:5-11. A prayer that can bring down angels.
4. There is a prayer that can bring God Himself down. Daniel 3:14-25. There are situations when God will not want to send angels because the situation might be too hot for the angel but will come down Himself. When He comes down, the earth will be trembling or shaking, Acts 2:1-4. You can pray tonight and shake your house. You can pray tonight and bring the Almighty God down.
5. There is a prayer, which is not really prayer at all but is a decree. Job 22:21-28, 2 Kings 1:9-12.
Pray the kind of prayer that will challenge all those who are trying to block your way. Acts 13:6-12.
6. The kind of prayer that will cause you to fly. Genesis 32:24-28, 33:1-6. Someone prayed and flown from fear to peace, someone prayed and flown from death to life, someone prayed and flown from rejection to acceptance, someone prayed and flown from sorrow to joy, someone has prayed and all of a sudden the storm in his life became permanently still. The kind of prayer that will cause you to fly is the kind of prayer that can not wait till tomorrow. Do you know your problem can be over tonight? It takes one solid, relentless tenacious prayer to solve all problems once and for all.
Those of you who up till this moment have been one leg in and one leg out of Jesus Christ, please make up your mind. Stop pretending, let your commitment to Jesus Christ be absolute tonight. If you really love yourself and you haven't surrender your life to Jesus Christ, please do so now urgently so that you will be able to pray and He will hear you. Ask Him to save your souls, ask Him to save you, promise Him you will be committed to Him and Him alone.
Go ahead and storm the heavens with your prayers tonight.
